Summary “Can Animals Think?”
In the FYI article, “Can Animals Think?,” Karen Blanchard states that many scientists think that some animals use their brains to think like humans. There are the five examples for proving it. First, a chimpanzee named Dandy left food hidden for awhile, and after others left there, he ate the food alone. Secondly, a heron caught a fish by using a branch as a tool. Third, a parrot named Alex tried to say his thought by pretending to speak the human language. Fourth, an octopus could open a jar after watching the way to open it. Fifth, a gorilla named Timmy behaved upset as if he loved his mate Pattycake after Pattycake and his baby were taken away. Then the result of these examples makes the number of scientists who think that some animals can think increase. In conclusion, many scientists think that some animals can think, but it is not definitely proved yet.
